Milk production is rising but still way behind 2021

Peak production day for GB is imminent but overall production is still well behind that recorded in 2021.
Volumes are down almost 3% year on year and a recent forecast of potential 2022/23 total GB production by AHDB Dairy analysts indicates production will be down between 0.8% (down 94 million litres) and 5.3% (down 649 million litres) under different scenarios and farmers reactions to increasing costs and the time-lag before additional cash from increased milk prices hits their bank accounts.
