Rodda’s record another good year end financials but costs are a huge challenge

Roddas (Cornwall Clotted Cream) have reported a good set of financials for its 2021/22-year end.
Turnover was up 9% to £41.3 million however pre tax profit was down 18% to £1.8 million with operating margin down from 5.7% to 4.4% due mainly to increases in the cost of energy and packing.
Rodda’s collect and process around 56 million litres of milk from 45 Cornish suppliers and this month’s standard litre price will be 48.05ppl based on a basket.
The firm aim to recruit a further 10 million litres of additional Cornish direct supply.
