GDT is up and down like a Yo Yo

Todays GDT saw average prices fall by 3.5% having recorded two consecutive increases for the previous two auctions which recorded increases of 4.9% and 2%. The total tonnage sold rocketed up by 18% to 30,852 (26,106) with the total number of bidders recorded at 160 (169) and winning bidders up to 125 (113) – Note the figures in brackets are those recorded in the auction 2 weeks ago.

51ppl standard litre price comes following a 2ppl milk price increase for farmers supplying Parkham Farms Ltd (cheese) – from 1st November

This increases producers manufacturing standard litre price to 51ppl.

Sainsburys to stand on at a liquid standard litre price of 47ppl for November – PRODUCER NOTIFIED

50p stand on price for Freshways suppliers until at least 30th November

This will make it three months Freshways producers have received a 50p liquid standard litre price.

1.279ppl increase for aligned producers supplying M&S – from 1st October

This arises as a result of the triggering of the M&S milk pledge and increases producers liquid standard litre price to what is likely to be a chart topping 51.38ppl

1.5ppl milk price increase for suppliers to Llaeth Cymreig (Welsh Liquid) – from 1st October

This increases producers liquid standard litre price to 48.5ppl including the loyalty bonus

This increases producers manufacturing standard litre price to 50ppl and based on a liquid standard litre to 48.28 ppl

0.3ppl milk price increase for members supplying First Milk (Cheese) – from 1st November

This increases producers manufacturing standard litre to 49.69ppl and based on a liquid standard litre to 48.02ppl including the member premium supplementary payment.
