Note, all standard litre prices are those quoted by www.milkprices.com and are based on the following:
The liquid standard litre 4% bf, 3.3% protein, 30,000/ml Bactoscans, 200,000/ml SCC, 1 million litres a year on EODC but before seasonality, monthly profile payments, balancing, B price additions, capital retentions or annual incentive schemes. The manufacturing standard litre is to exactly the same specification with the exception of 4.2%bf and 3.4% protein.

Arla to Stand on for August for conventional and organic milk.

From 1st August 2023, the Arla on-account price for conventional and organic milk will remain unchanged.   This means the UK manufacturing price for conventional and organic milk will be 35.12ppl and 40.79ppl respectively.   Arla Foods amba board director, and Arla farmer, Arthur Fearnall, said: “It is positive to see retail sales slowly picking up as inflation softens and consumer purchasing power increases.

Meadow Announces 1ppl reduction in Milk Price for August

Meadow has announced that it will be decreasing its milk price by -1.0ppl from 1st August 2023, taking its standard litre milk price to 34ppl, an equivalent manufacturing litre will be 34.6ppl. The decrease reflects the continued market pressure on the price of milk and milk based products.   Meadow had hoped to hold its milk price for August, to give the opportunity for more positivity to return to the markets, however unfortunately demand in the dairy markets, both domestically and globally, has been lacking resulting in continued price pressures.
